She was previously regional vice president at Home Depot Inc., where she led a team of more than 16,000 associates in 82 stores across Southern California, Hawaii and Guam, with sales in the billions.

“We are very excited to have Diana lead our team,” said Chief Executive Larry Bedrosian. “It’s a new and exciting chapter for our family company. We look forward to taking things to the next level”

Kelly worked at Home Depot for 26 years, starting as a part-time cashier, she wrote on her LinkedIn page.

“Home Depot made my dream come reality,” she said.

Bedrosians, founded in 1948, has more than 40 branches in the U.S. and is planning to open seven locations this year, including a distribution center in Dallas.
