AUTOMOTIVE

Raymond R. Schroth was named director of service for Fountain Valley-based Hyundai Motor America. Schroth will be responsible for technical training and support, service contracts, customer surveys and consumer affairs functions.

HEALTHCARE

Edward Schrum was named director of admissions for Vitas Innovative Hospice Care of Orange County.

Irvine-based Ista Pharmaceuticals Inc. appointed John W. Chandler as medical director.

Health Care Property Investors Inc. added Talya Nevo-Hacohen as senior vice president, business development, and treasurer.

LAW

Thomas L. Gourde joined Neal, Haushalter & Ray as a senior associate. Gourde will specialize in litigation.

Mary Lynn K. Coffee joined Nossaman, Guthner, Knox & Elliott LLP’s Orange County office as of counsel. She is a member of the firm’s land use, environmental, real property and water group.

MARKETING

Kelly Frey was named junior account executive for Newport Beach-based Madeline Zuckerman Public Relations & Marketing.

NONPROFIT

Orangewood Children’s Foundation added Gregory W. Scott, executive vice president and chief financial officer of PacifCare Health Systems Inc., to its board. Cal Winslow was appointed chief development officer.

Art & Creativity for Healing Inc. added four new members to the board: Hank Blank, Sandy Bohi, Suzanne Collier and Diane Gentzler.

The Alzheimer’s Association of Orange County appointed Francoise Aylmer director of development.

Mission Hospital Foundation added five members to the board: Theodore Benderev, Dan Fuller, George O’Connell, Kate Roth and Barry Wilson.

Mariel Mendoza joined the Orange County affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation as program development associate. Mendoza will coordinate community events, breast health education programs and survivors’ services.

Orange County’s United Way added four members to the board: Adele H. Berwanger of Canterbury Consulting Inc., Steve Gilbert of Fluor Corp., Lisa Perrine of Cibola Systems Corp. and Irene Kinoshita of Ascolta Training Co.

REAL ESTATE

Kurt Strasmann was appointed executive vice president, area manager of Grubb & Ellis Co. Strasmann will oversee Grubb & Ellis’ Newport Beach and Anaheim offices, as well as the Inland Empire and San Gabriel Valley offices.

SERVICES

Irvine-based ITCR, an insurance and staffing agency, appointed account executive Susan Kerr to the national headquarters team.

Veronica Cline Barton was appointed vice president of business development for public sector and commercial market segments for Costa Mesa-based Information Management Resources Inc.

Eric Martin was named senior vice president of business development for The American Consulting Group, which specializes in employee labor relations, human resources and workplace safety.

Ray Loehner joined GeoLogistics Corp. as senior vice president of operations.

El Pollo Loco Inc. appointed Jeanne Scott to the newly created position of vice president, human resources and training.

Mike Ebbing joined Anaheim Public Utilities as public information officer for business and community programs. Ebbing is responsible for communications, marketing, and the development and implementation of energy programs and new residential energy technology.

Lake Forest, Ill.-based CoreSource appointed Brian McGuire as regional director, national accounts for the Western region. McGuire is based at CoreSource’s Irvine location.

Exult Inc., a provider of human resources services, named John Adams chief financial officer.

TECHNOLOGY

Bitfone Corp. appointed Carla Fitzgerald as vice president of marketing and Bob Thomas as vice president of sales for North America.

John Milazzo was appointed president of Anaheim-based Cris-tek Interconnects Inc., which makes electronic connectors for the military, aerospace and biomedical markets. Millazo previously served as Cristek’s sales and operations executive.
