El Pollo Loco this week is launching a beach-bucket promotion featuring a 64-ounce pail filled with soda for 99 cents with the purchase of an eight- or 12-piece chicken meal.
The summer offer, which ends Aug. 20, is supported by commercials for general and Hispanic markets created respectively by Daily & Associates and Cruz, Kravatz Ideas, both in Los Angeles.
El Pollo Loco operates 271 restaurants in California, Arizona, Nevada and Texas and employs 3,258 company-wide, including 84 at its Irvine headquarters.
Since its acquisition in December by New York-based American Securities Capital Partners LP, El Pollo Loco has added 19 employees and plans to add another 10 at the OC offices.
