Apria Healthcare Group Inc. of Lake Forest said Thursday that federal regulators gave antitrust clearance for its proposed $1.6 billion buyout by Blackstone Group LP.
The home healthcare company said the sale still is subject to other conditions, including shareholder approval.
The deal’s expected to close at the end of the year.
Private equity firm Blackstone said it was taking Apria private last month. Blackstone’s offer for the company was 33% higher than what Apria was trading at before the deal was announced.
