A new motto: count early and often, Editorials

Animal House South

Some people are worried that operating El Toro’s recreational facilities could cost taxpayers as much as $4 million a year.

You gotta be kidding.

The base has countless empty buildings, a giant dragstrip and a liquor license.

Heck, I could turn a profit running it.

A Riddle

WHAT DO AL GORE AND ETRPA HAVE IN COMMON?

Neither thinks their election is over.

A New Saying

CHICAGO POLITICS INSPIRED THE SLOGAN “VOTE EARLY AND OFTEN.”

Gore and the Florida Supremes have inspired a new one: “Count late and often.”

Chad Addict

THIS ELECTION MUST END. I’M OBSESSING OVER POLITICAL PUNDITS, RADIOtalk shows and news dispatches. I argue too much with friends and I raise my voice in public. I find myself yelling at the TV set, especially when Bill Schneider, Jonathan Alter or Alan Dershowitz is on. I am getting a crush on Ann Coulter. I speak disparagingly of people who are too stupid to know how to punch oops, there I go again.

Please, Al, George, one of you guys, somebody, throw in the towel, end this thing. I want my life back!
