RxSight Inc. today announced the appointment of Raymond Cohen, co-founder and former chief executive of Axonics Inc., to its board of directors.
Cohen’s addition to the board will help the Aliso Viejo maker of implantable lenses help expand reach for its Light Adjustable Lens system and guide its “next phase of growth,” according to officials.
“I see tremendous potential for RxSight to get back on its growth track by strengthening its position in the premium intraocular lens market,” Cohen said in a statement.
Shares in RxSight rose nearly 1% to $7.85 and a $319 million market cap following the announcement (Nasdaq: RXST).
Cohen also serves on the boards of other healthcare companies including Kestra Medical,. SoniVie Ltd., BiVACOR and, most recently, Nalu Medical Inc.
