Raymond Cohen Appointed Chairman of Nalu Medical

Scheduled to appear as keynote speaker of Business Journal’s IOTY Awards on Sept. 10

Nalu Medical Inc. today named Raymond Cohen as chairman of its board of directors.

The Carlsbad-based company appointed the veteran medtech exec, who sold urology-focused company Axonics Inc. to Boston Scientific Corp. for $3.7 billion last November.

“We look forward to benefiting from Mr. Cohen’s broad experience in growing MedTech companies and his expertise in neuromodulation as we seek to significantly increase adoption of our peripheral nerve stimulation system,” Nalu Chief Executive and President Tom West said in a statement.

The appointment adds to the list of medical device companies that Cohen serves on the boards of. He’s currently active on the boards of SoniVie Ltd., BiVACOR and Kestra Medical.

Cohen will be the keynote speaker of the Business Journal’s Innovator of the Year Awards scheduled for Sept. 10 at the Irvine Marriott.
