Quality Systems Now NextGen

Quality Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: QSII), an Irvine-based medical and dental practice management service provider, announced today that it has changed its corporate name to NextGen Healthcare Inc., effective immediately.

Its stock will begin trading Sept. 10 under the new symbol “NXGN.”

“Our clients have known us as NextGen Healthcare for nearly 20 years,” Chief Executive Rusty Frantz said in a statement. “Today’s announcement is a significant milestone in our journey of aligning and simplifying our organization.”

The shares have almost doubled since March and it traded recently at $1.4 billion.

A second OC company also changed its name this month.

Garden Grove-based Kush Bottles Inc. switched to KushCo Holdings Inc. (OTCQB: KSHB), saying it now offers a wider variety of products and services than just cannabis packaging, while keeping the same ticker symbol.
