TECHNOLOGY
Acacia Research Corp. (Nasdaq: ACTG) of Newport Beach rebounded 7.5% to $3.60 and a $178 million market cap. Shares of Acacia Research, which licenses patents and invests in technology, fell 12% yesterday to $3.35.
RETAIL
Boot Barn Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BOOT) in Irvine was up 2.6% to $30.51 and an $854 million market cap. Since the company boosted its fiscal outlook on Aug. 7, the shares have jumped 31%. In the past year, the shares are up four-fold.
