Gov. Gavin Newsom confirmed Tuesday hair salons and barbershops are the next businesses to open with enhanced safety measures.
The change isn’t statewide but applies to counties with state Dept. of Public Health attestations confirming COVID-19 plans regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), testing abilities and plans for the homeless population among other criteria.
Orange County’s self-attestation was filed late last week and approved by the state on Saturday. This has led to various limited levels of openings for restaurants and retailers.
Full guidance for the reopening of hair salon and barbershops from the state can be found here.
