Midday Stock Roundup

 The S&P 500 was off 0.7% to 4,327.69.
The Dow Jones fell 0.6% to 34,459.01.
The Nasdaq dropped 0.7% to 14,565.15.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury slumped 2% to 1.295%.
The price of gold decreased 0.2% to $1,798.10.
The price for a barrel of oil increased 0.8% to $72.79.

HEALTHCARE
Orange County healthcare firms were trending down in Thursday midday trading, led by San Clemente-based Glaukos Corp. (NYSE: GKOS), which fell 5.9% to $76.30 a share for a $3.5 billion market cap. 
Lake Forest-based STAAR Surgical Company (Nasdaq: STAA) decreased 3.5% to $140.52 a share for a market cap of $6.5 billion. The implantable lens maker is still up 74% since the start of the year. 
Newport Beach-based aesthetics firm Evolus Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) was down 3.4% to $12.39 and a share for a $715 million market cap. Shares have risen more than 300% year to date.
