The S&P 500 rose 0.1% to 3,814.90 in midday trading.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.3% to 31,157.29, while the Nasdaq increased 0.2% to 13,158.94.
Crude oil rose 0.6% to $53.23 a barrel.
Gold was up 0.01% to $1,855.10.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury increased 2.1% to 1.112%.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) rose 8.2% to $124.61 and an $8.3 billion market cap. Shares for the data science software maker have climbed 13% since the beginning of the year. Alteryx announced Thursday that cloud-based data-warehousing firm Snowflake Inc would integrate Alteryx’s automation software with its platform.
HEALTHCARE
Evolus Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) increased 12% to $5.77 and a $193 million market cap. Shares of the Newport Beach-based aesthetics drugmaker have soared 56% since Dec 16, when the U.S. International Trade Commission reduced a lower judge’s recommendation for a 10-year product ban to 21 months.
