Anaheim-based iinside has been bought by London-based CrowdVision Inc. on undisclosed terms.
The combined CrowdVision Inc., will be based in Anaheim under David Teed, currently CEO of the U.K. company.
The firms work with airports, stadiums, casinos and other venues to track the behavior of large crowds, the need for which is expected to increase as businesses reorient around consumers’ expanded health concerns.
The companies said crowd flow, motion detection and analytics, along with thermal detection related to screening people for elevated body temperatures, are part of the future product mix.
Transportation hubs, “shopping malls and other busy venues must now adjust to … monitoring and managing social distancing as a mission critical activity to promote public safety,” the companies said in a statement.
