All 144 beds have been delivered for UCI Health — Irvine, an acute care hospital that’s set to open this December.
The seven-story, 350,000-square-foot facility is the third and final phase of a $1.3 billion medical complex UCI Health is building on the corner of Jamboree Road and Birch Street.
The facility “is a high‐tech hospital of the future that represents the steadfast commitment of UCI Health to care for the community for generations to come,” a spokesperson told the Business Journal.
Once completed, it will be the nation’s first all-electric acute care hospital, according to officials.
