The Habit Appoints New CFO

Taco Bell veteran Tiffany Furman transitions to burger restaurant chain

The Habit Burger Grill has named Tiffany Furman as the restaurant chain’s new chief financial officer. Furman steps in after her predecessor Ira Fils joined Costa Mesa’s El Pollo Loco as CFO in June.

Furman has spent the last 14 years working for parent company Yum Brands Inc. (NYSE: YUM) with her most previous role at Irvine-based Taco Bell.

Prior to Yum, she worked at The Boeing Co. Her background is in finance, business planning and franchise development.

The new executive transitioned to the Irvine-based Habit team in October while her appointment was announced today.

“As a customer, I was already a big fan of The Habit, but when I got to know more of the team members and became emersed in the culture, it really felt like a natural fit,” Furman wrote on The Habit’s LinkedIn post.

The Habit counts about 335 restaurants in 14 states with a goal to nearly double its base of restaurants by 2027 by adding 40 to 50 spots a year.
