Santa Ana-based Flame Broiler debuted a new menu item today that departs from its familiar Korean-inspired rice bowls – Korean BBQ-style chicken wings.
Sold as “Charbroiled Wings,” the chicken is grilled with the restaurant franchise’s in-house condiment, the simply magic sauce. Flame Broiler’s branded hot sauces are also advertised as dipping sauces for the limited time dish.
“As a company dedicated to serving simple food made with flavorful and high-quality ingredients, these wings are sure to add a level of thrill to our food roster,” Founder and Chief Executive Young Lee said in a statement.
The rice bowl restaurant concept reported 165 locations across five states in May. Flame Broiler ranks No. 22 among Orange County’s locally based restaurant companies with $85 million in systemwide sales for 2021, according to Business Journal data.
