Newport Beach’s luxury shopping center, Fashion Island, will be the site for Vancouver-based Joey Restaurant Group’s first Orange County location.
Named Joey Newport Beach, the restaurant will mark the group’s fourth location in California.
The dining room will seat 205 with an open patio for another 109 seats, sporting 9,367 square feet total for the location. With a team of award-winning chefs in place, the menu will offer dishes from “a variety of international cuisines,” according to officials.
The restaurant is set to open later this year and will be located next to True Food Kitchen and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse at the retail center. The former Roy’s Restaurant space is currently under construction.
Joey Newport Beach anticipates providing more than 325 jobs to the local market, officials said in a statement.
Fashion Island is OC’s second largest shopping center and reported $595.9 million in taxable sales for 12 months ended June 2021.
