Costa Mesa-based California Pizza Kitchen opened its newest franchise location in India this week.
The restaurant in India marks CPK’s re-entry into the country and will be operated by India-based JSM Corporation Pvt. Ltd.
“California Pizza Kitchen’s strong business model and international recognition made it a natural fit for our team,” said Sanjay Mahtani, who is co-founder of JSM.
CPK, which currently has almost 50 restaurants outside the U.S., says it’s planning multiple deals in countries like Costa Rica, Chile and Canada.
