PacMerc Names New Board Member

Industry veteran David Munio has been named to the board of Costa Mesa-based Pacific Mercantile Bancorp and Pacific Mercantile Bank.

He brings more than 40 years of experience in the banking industry that includes senior executive positions at First Interstate Bank and Wells Fargo & Co.

Munio replaces Daniel Strauss, who retired this week from the holding company and bank.

Munio served as director and chairman of the credit policy committee at Los Angeles-based CapitalSource Bank prior to its $2.3 billion sale last year to Pacific Western Bancorp in Century City.

Pacific Mercantile is one of the largest commercial banks headquartered in Orange County, with assets of about $1.1 billion at the end of the September quarter.
