There are roughly 68,400 private companies in Orange County, and they collectively employ more than 750,000 people. Nearly 65% of all private companies have one to four workers, while about 2% have 50 to 99. Ninety-four—or less than 0.2%—have 500 or more workers.
Anaheim has more private companies than any OC city, with 6,905. Santa Ana is No. 2, with 6,228. Irvine is No. 3, with 6,129 (see list, page 14).
