There are 53 hospitals in Orange County, and they collectively employ nearly 36,000 people.
7.6% of all OC hospitals have between 10 to 19 employees. Nearly 21% of them have 50 to 99 workers. 34% have 500 or more workers. The city of Orange has more hospitals than any OC city, with 12. Anaheim is No. 2, with seven. Newport Beach takes the No. 3 spot, with four (see Special Report, page 25).
