New CFO at Ingram Micro

Mike Zilis, who’s led much of Ingram Micro Inc.’s international strategy and operations, has been named chief financial officer of the Irvine-based wholesale tech distributor, succeeding Gina Mastantuono effective Jan. 1.

Mastantuono is leaving to become CFO for a U.S. publicly traded company that was not named.

Zilis will work with Mastantuono through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition, according to Ingram Micro’s statement announcing. He was also named executive vice president.

A unit of China-based HNA Group bought Ingram Micro for $6 billion in 2016, and it’s been rumored to be on the block for more than a year. Today’s statement made no mention of a possible ownership change.
