The S&P 500 increased 0.9% to 3,734.81 in Monday midday trading.
The Nasdaq also rose 0.9% to 12,914.61 while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.7% to 30,403.39.
Crude oil ticked 0.2% higher to $48.30 a barrel.
Gold decreased 0.2% to $1,880.20.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury rose 2.6% to 0.95%.
REAL ESTATE
Impac Mortgage Holdings Inc. (NYSE: IMH) jumped 13% to $3.23 and a $68 million market cap. Shares for the Irvine-based mortgage originator are down 40% since the start of the year.
HEALTHCARE
Newport Beach-based Evolus Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) decreased 7% to $3.31 a share at midday trading with a $113 million market cap. Shares for the company, the maker of Botox competitor Jeuveau, are down 23% since Dec. 18, when analysts cut their revenue forecasts from $115 million expected in 2021 to $88 million. Shares are off 70% since the start of the year.
