Irvine-based Hitachi Solutions America Ltd. bought Customer Effective in South Carolina on undisclosed terms.
Customer Effective, founded in 2003, is a customer relationship management consultancy. Its customers are in the financial services industry, including insurance firms and banks.
The company has about 90 workers, and its operations are expected to remain in South Carolina.
Customer Effective Chief Executive Scott Millwood has been named vice president of Hitachi Solutions’ customer relationship management practice.
The acquisition will build on Hitachi Solutions’ intellectual property and capabilities, the company said in a news release.
Hitachi Solutions is a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Hitachi Group. It acquired Canada-based consultancy Ideaca in December.
