Defense company Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa and data analytics firm Palantir Technologies have formed a partnership to improve the use of artificial intelligence for the military and national security.
The companies will work on improving data readiness for AI training and algorithm development. They will also seek to improve processing data at scale.
“Ultimately, Palantir and Anduril expect to expand the partnership to other industry partners that have unique contributions to make to this unique mission. No single company is capable of delivering on the promise of AI for national security,” Anduril said in a joint statement with Palantir yesterday.
Anduril, founded by OC entrepreneur Palmer Luckey, has received major backing from Denver-based Palantir (Nasdaq: PLTR) and its founder Peter Thiel.
