Anduril Gets $200M Marines Drone Contract

Interceptor to thwart hostile drone threats

Defense tech company Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa said it has been awarded a $200 million, five-year defense drone contract by the U.S. Marine Corps.

The agreement is an “indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity” (IDIQ) contract to develop defensive drones to “protect the Marine Air Ground Task Force from evolving air threats.”

An IDIQ contract is one that “provides for an indefinite quantity, within stated limits, of supplies or services during a fixed period. The government places orders for individual requirements,” according to the Code of Federal Regulations.
