On the Move: Orange County United Way Welcomes Agnes McGlone Swanson as New Senior Vice President of Community Relations

Agnes McGlone Swanson has been named Senior Vice President of Community Relations for Orange County United Way. With more than 35 years of experience with various local and national nonprofit health organizations, McGlone Swanson will lead corporate engagement, events, volunteer efforts, and other development functions for Orange County United Way. She will serve as a critical member of the Executive Team.

In 1989, McGlone Swanson secured her first role as a development professional, working for Orange County United Way as a Sponsored Loaned Executive. She dedicated her expertise and energy to assist in Workplace Campaign efforts. She also worked for 27 years at the American Heart Association in various roles, including Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the Orange County Division.

Most recently, McGlone Swanson served as the first Chief Philanthropy Officer at The Shea Center for Therapeutic Riding in San Juan Capistrano. During her six years there, she substantially increased major gift and grant funding.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from California State University, Fullerton.
