Buchanan Street Partners, a nationally recognized real estate investment management firm based in Newport Beach that focuses on making debt and equity investments in commercial and multifamily real estate, has announced the hiring of Merle Perez.
Perez joined Buchanan Street as a Senior Fund Accountant and is responsible for accounting and financial reporting for Buchanan’s funds and private placements. She brings over 26 years of accounting experience in the commercial real estate industry. She previously worked at KBS Realty Advisors as an accounting manager responsible for overseeing the disposition of properties for multiple REITs, review and analysis of property reports, fixed assets, CAMs, debt, and leasing activity.
Perez holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Finance from California State University, Long Beach. She enjoys being outdoors, is an avid tennis player and loves to bake.
