Goodwill of Orange County is proud to announce the appointment of three new members to its respected board of directors: Carol Fawcett, Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Golden State Foods, John Heffernan, Owner and Partner at Heffernan & Boortz, and Dr. Jeffrey Lamb, Vice President of Academic Affairs at Santa Ana College.

Carol Fawcett is Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Golden State Foods (GSF), a leading global supplier to quick service restaurant and retail stores. She provides vision and leadership for developing and executing digital transformation initiatives to improve GSF’s supply chain management operations, cost effectiveness, service quality and business development. With more than three decades of serving in information technology leadership roles, Fawcett has a dynamic reputation in the industry for providing critical insight to innovation teams as new solutions come into the market.
John Heffernan is a licensed California attorney and partner and owner of Heffernan & Boortz. John has more than four decades experience in legal practice specializing in real estate related transactions. An Orange County native, he has served the community through various elected and chairman positions throughout his career, including serving on City Council and as Mayor of Newport Beach.
Dr. Jeffrey Lamb currently serves as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Santa Ana College where he is responsible for all aspects of academic programs and instructional support services in the college’s service area. Dr. Lamb has two decades experience teaching Spanish language, literature, and culture, and a strong background in integrated planning, accreditation, and outcomes assessment. Dr. Lamb holds a doctorate in 20th Century Latin American Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles, a master’s degree in Hispanic Languages and Literatures from San Diego State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from California State University, Long Beach.
The three new appointees began a three-year term on the Goodwill Board in January 2024.
