RETAIL
Men’s and women’s retailer Tilly’s Inc. (NYSE TLYS) in Irvine was down 4.4% to $12.40 per share for a market cap of $369 million, while Irvine-based retailer of boots and other apparel Boot Barn Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BOOT) lost 3.5% to $60.81 per share for a market cap of $1.8 billion. Bad weather and a delay in government aid pushed U.S. retail sales down 3% in February, the Commerce Department reported today, a greater-than-expected drop.
TECHNOLOGY
Digital ad tech company Viant Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: DSP) in Irvine rose 3% to $51.28 per share for a market cap of $3 billion. The company said earlier that former Chief Financial Officer of First American Financial Corporation, Max Valdes, and former President of Taco Bell International, Liz Williams, have joined Viant Technology’s board of directors.
