Elmhurst, Ill.-based Advent is an integrator of IP video, access control, structured cabling and audio/visual systems with annual revenue exceeding $42 million and 125 employees.

“Adding Advent Systems helps us grow strategically and geographically especially within the Chicago market,” Allied Chief Executive Steve Jones said in a statement. “We are excited to continue our strategy of expanding our technology division in order to offer highly advanced solutions for our clients.”

Allied, which generates more than $7 billion annually, has more than 200,000 employees.

Advent Systems was represented by Stifel in the transaction.
