Midday Stock Round Up

The S&P 500 was flat in midday trading at 3,004.12.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.3% to 26,756.

The Nasdaq was up 0.6% to 8,164.3.

Crude oil rose 0.9% to $56.49 a barrel.

The price of gold increased 0.6% to $1,505.

The yield on a 10-Year Bond fell 0.7% to 1.75%.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based CoreLogic inc (NYSE: CLGX) fell 16% in midday trading to $40.18 a share with a $3.2 billion market cap. The company yesterday reported third quarter revenue of $459 million, missing the analyst average estimate of $461.3 million.

REAL ESTATE

Aliso Viejo-based New Home Company Inc (NYSE: NWHM) rose 9% to $4.86 a share and a $97 million market cap. Volume of about 300,000 shares was triple the daily average of the past three months. The company is scheduled to release third quarter results on Oct. 31.

HEALTHCARE

Irvine-based NextGen Healthcare Inc. (Nasdaq: NCGN) rose 8% to $17.21 a share with a $1.4 billion market cap. The company yesterday reported second quarter net income of 24 cents a share, topping the average analyst estimate of 23 cents, according to Zacks.

MANUFACTURING

Foothill Ranch’s Kaiser Aluminum Corp. (Nasdaq: KALU) jumped 7.7% to $105.02 and a $1.7 billion market cap. The company yesterday reported third quarter results that included “new records for value added revenue,” Chief Executive Jack Hockema said in a statement.
