Banc of California Inc. (NYSE: BANC) in Irvine was up 7% to $18.85 and a $902 million market cap on above-average volume.
TECHNOLOGY
Veritone Inc. (NASDAQ: VERI) in Irvine was up 11% to $27 and a $401 million market cap. The company said it will work with Wazee Digital in Denver, a cloud-based video manager and licensing company, to do data analysis for Wazee customers. Veritone shares are up by one-third this week.
HEALTHCARE
ChromaDex Corp. (NASDAQ: CDXC) in Irvine was up 14% to $4.60 and a $221 million market cap on high volume. The ingredients maker’s shares had traded by midday at a rate twice its daily average and are up 50% year-to-date.
