ACG in Newport Beach Orders 50 Boeing 737 Max Jetliners

ACG leases jetliners to airlines in about 50 countries

Aviation Capital Group said today it had ordered 50 Boeing 737 Max jetliners. The price was not disclosed.
The Newport Beach-based aircraft lessor said the order consisted of  25 model 737-8 and 25 model 737-10 airplanes.
ACG President and CEO Thomas Baker said in a statement that the order “supports a key pillar of our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to the latest fuel-efficient aircraft technology,”
The acquisition of the 50 jets increases ACG’s Boeing 737 Max order book to 121, including 50 firm orders for the 737-10, Boeing said in a statement.
Aviation Capital Group had approximately 470 owned, managed and committed aircraft as of September 30 that were leased to roughly 90 airlines in approximately 50 countries.
