Aliso Viejo-based Johnny Rockets Group Inc. said Monday it has struck franchise deals that could bring 125 new restaurants for the retro-themed burger chain.
The pacts call for restaurants in Arizona, New York and onboard Royal Caribbean International cruise ships.
The stores are set to roll out in the next 10 years with more than 20 set to open in the near term.
Last year, 26 Johnny Rockets opened, giving the chain a total of 173, according to the company.
The chain is known for its 1940s nostalgia, hamburgers and shakes.
In an earlier Business Journal interview, Chief Executive Michael Shumsky said the company’s goal is to grow the number of Johnny Rockets by about 20% a year.
The company hopes to have more than 500 restaurants in the next decade, he said.
