Santa Ana-based Universal Protection Service has acquired Plantation, Fla.-based CastleGuard Security on undisclosed terms.
It’s the fourth deal this year for Universal Protection, part of Santa Ana-based Universal Services of America, which was among the fastest-growing private companies in Orange County as ranked by the Business Journal.
The company had $396 million in revenue for the year through June, up 20% from the same time a year earlier. It had 1,944 employees in Orange County as of June.
Universal Protection’s buying streak began in May, when the company acquired San Diego-based Heritage Security Services.
It bought Augusta, Ga.-based Regent Security Services Inc. in June, and followed with a September acquisition of A&R Security Services Inc. in Blue Island, Ill.
CastleGuard specializes in providing security services to high-rise condominiums, gated communities and office buildings in the southern region of Florida, from Fort Lauderdale to Miami.
The acquisition is expected to expand Universal Protection’s reach into Florida, according to the company.
“Because of our emerging presence in Florida, CastleGuard is an important strategic acquisition that relates to our core business,” said Brian Cescolini, co-chief executive of Universal Services of America.
