Kenneth McFarland, chief executive of Mission Hospital, said today that he will leave to pursue other opportunities. McFarland’s departure is effective Feb. 5.
McFarland in an 18-year veteran of Mission and has served as its top executive since 2011.
Mission has two campuses with 509 beds between them in Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach.
A release from the hospital did not indicate if Mission or its parent company, Irvine-based St. Joseph Health, would start a search for McFarland’s successor.
