The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 0.2% to 1.92%.

TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Western Digital Corp. was up 4.3% to $51.39 and a $12 billion market cap on moderate volume, Shares in the storage products maker have gained about 15% in the last week after a decline that coincided with shareholder approval of its acquisition of SanDisk Corp last week.
HEALTHCARE
San Clemente-based Care Trust REIT Inc. was down 1.5% to $11.63 and a $560 million market cap. The health facility owner began its $97 million offering of 8.5 million shares at $11.35 a share, excluding the underwriters’ over-allotment of 1.3 million shares. Care Trust yesterday increased the offering from 7.5 million shares. Some 5 million shares traded hands by midday, compared with the company’s 90-day average of 232,000.
