Midday Stock Roundup

Indices were down in midday trading on a tepid jobs report that sparked concerns of a Federal Reserve rate hike.

The S&P 500 was down 1.7% to 1,882.68. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.3% to 16,197.37. The NASDAQ was down 3% to 4,377.00.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 1.3% to 1.84%.

The price of gold was flat at $1,158.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based Multi-Fineline Electronix Inc. was up 37% to $22.47 and a $550 million market cap. The printed circuit board maker said it would be acquired by China-based Suzhou Dongshan.

Costa Mesa-based TTM Technologies Inc. was up 18.5% to $6.33 and a $626 million market cap. The printed circuit board maker yesterday reported quarterly revenue that beat expectations and operating income up 55% to $36.5 million.

SERVICES

Irvine-based Autobytel Inc. was down 9.2% to $15.81 and a $166 million market cap on moderate volume. The automobile sales leads supplier’s shares were down about 15% for the week.
