Stock indices were up strongly today on hopes of stimulus actions in China and trade data in Germany. Orange County real estate and technology companies were up 3% to 4% in midday trading.
The S&P 500 was up 1.9% to 1,956.88. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.9% to 16,411.01. The Nasdaq was up 2% to 4,777.49.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was up 2.91% to 2.19%.
The price of gold was flat at $1,121.
RESTAURANTS
Lake Forest-based Del Taco Restaurants Inc. was up 9.5% to $14.25 and a $553 million market cap. Analysts at Citigroup initiated coverage on the fast food chain with a “buy” rating and a $17 price target.
REAL ESTATE
Aliso Viejo-based Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. was up 2.7% to $13.75 and a $2.9 billion market cap. Evercore ISI Group maintained a “hold” rating on the stock with a $16 price target.
