The Nasdaq was down 0.1% to 4,746.66.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 1.5% to 2.16%.
The price of gold was down 0.8% to $1,124.
HEALTHCARE
San Clemente-based CareTrust REIT Inc. was up 1.8% to $11.28 and a $519 million market cap. The healthcare facility owner bought a 64-bed assisted living facility in Pensacola, Fla. For $5.4 million. It recently bought a 115-bed facility in St. Petersburg and the same operator will run both.
MEDIA
Irvine-based Adaptive Medias Inc. was up 10.5% to 48 cents and a $9 million market cap. The Internet advertising and content company said revenues for its third quarter ending Sept. 30, would grow 36% over the previous quarter to $1.5 million. Shares had traded by midday at about 4 times its 90-day average.
