Lake Forest-based medical device maker STAAR Surgical Co. (Nasdaq: STAA) rose 4.6% to $74.41 per share for a market cap of $3.4 billion, rebounding from a 5.2% plunge on Monday. The company will report third-quarter results on Nov. 4.
TECHNOLOGY
Vehicle telematics company CalAmp (Nasdaq: CAMP) in Irvine fell 4.6% to $7.76 per share for a market cap of $271 million. The shares have lost 7% in value since Wednesday amid uncertainty over a possible congressional economic stimulus package that could aid the transportation industry.
