U.S. indices continued their fall Friday as investors exited tech stocks.
The S&P 500 was down 2.3% to 3,375.72 in midday trading.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 1.5% to 27,874.03, while the Nasdaq sank 4.2% to 10,981.83.
Crude oil was off 2.6% to $40.31.
Gold was down 0.3% to $1,932.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury jumped 8% to 0.67%.
TECHNOLOGY
Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) fell 9.4% to $106.05, amid Friday’s broader sell off of tech stocks. The Irvine-based company, with a recent market cap of $7.1 billion, makes and sells data analytics software. Alteryx shares are flat for the year.
RETAIL
Irvine retailer Tilly’s Inc. (NYSE: TLYS) rose 5.5% to $7.30, a day after reporting better-than-expected results for its fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 1. The company had a recent market cap of $219.8 million.
