RESTAURANTS
Newport Beach-based Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (NYSE: CMG) rose 3.2% to $1,351.91 per share for a market cap of $37.8 billion. Barrons.com earlier in the day quoted analyst Nick Setyan at Wedbush Securities as saying that longer term it is “difficult to see what could derail the post-Covid growth acceleration scenario” for the fast casual restaurant chain.
REAL ESTATE
Irvine-based homebuilder Tri Pointe Group Inc. (NYSE: TPH) rose 3.5% to $17.48 per share for a market cap of $2.3 billion. Zacks Equity Research said the shares were likely “undervalued” and that “TPH is an impressive value stock right now.” The company’s stock has gained about 12% since the start of the year.
