Crude oil fell 0.1% to $43.02.
Gold jumped 2.4% to $1,979.20.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury was off 2.7% to 0.73%.
RESTAURANTS
Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: BJRI) shot up 11.2% to $31.41 for a market cap of $699.2 million. The restaurant operator’s up about 65% since late July when it released results for its June quarter, notching a narrower loss than analyst projections and revenue about in line with consensus estimates.
HEALTHCARE
Glaukos Corp. (NYSE: GKOS) shares were trading up 4.1% to $46.16. The San Clemente-based opthalmic medical device maker had a recent market cap of $2.1 billion.
Local device makers were generally mixed on Friday.
Irvine-based Edwards Lifesciences Corp. (NYSE: EW) was up 0.6% to $84.18 for a market cap of $52.3 billion. ICU Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: ICUI) of San Clemente was down 1.3% to $195.57 for a market cap of $4.1 billion. Irvine-based Masimo Corp. (Nasdaq: MASI), with a market cap of $11.9 billion, fell 1.3% to $217.14.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Montrose Environmental Group Inc. (NYSE: MEG) rose 3.5% to $28.03, continuing to climb since its July IPO. The environmental services company had a recent market cap of $588.8 million.
