RETAIL
Tilly’s Inc. in Irvine (NYSE: TLYS) jumped 6% to a share price of $6.36 with a $189.4 million market cap. The retail chain updated its operations, saying as a result of the latest California order to shut operations, it closed 28 stores located in indoor malls and now has a fleet of 203 locations in operation.
HEALTHCARE
Irvine-based diagnostics firm Biomerica Inc. (Nasdaq: BMRA) rose 19% to $11.37 per share for a market cap of $128.4 million. Since March 20, Biomerica’s stock has surged 60% since it introduced its 10-minute test that determines if a person has the antibodies to the coronavirus.
Glaukos Corp. (NYSE: GKOS) fell 6.6% to $39.84 and a $1.7 billion market cap. Shares of the maker of eye stents to treat glaucoma are still up 56% since mid-March.
