Major U.S. indices pushed up Friday ending a wild week for the stock market.
The S&P 500 jumped 4.3% to 2,586.92.
The Dow was up 4.5% to 22,143.76, while the Nasdaq rose 4% to 7,488.66.
The price of oil rose 1.2% to $31.89.
The price of gold was off 4.6% to $1,515.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond leapt 13% to 0.96%.
HEALTHCARE
Irvine heart valve maker Edwards Lifesciences Corp. (NYSE: EW) was off 2.5% to $182.35 for a $38 billion market cap. Some of the largest U.S. device makers were trading generally down Friday.
FINANCE
Santa Ana title insurance provider First American Financial Corp. (NYSE: FAF) declined 3.5% to $52.26 for a market value of $5.9 billion.
