The Dow Jones slipped 0.4% to 29,317.4, while the Nasdaq fell 0.1% to 9,704.1.
The price on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 2.3% to 1.6%.
The price of oil rose 0.6% to $51.74, while gold was up 0.5% to $1,586.80.

Irvine-based Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) was up 7.2% to $154.71 for a market capitalization of $9.9 billion. The analytics software maker’s market cap on Friday crossed the $10 billion market threshold for the first time, a day after reporting better-than-expected fourth-quarter results.
HEALTHCARE
San Clemente medical device maker Glaukos Corp. (NYSE: GKOS) shares fell 3% to $68.03 and a market cap of $2.9 billion. Prior to today, the shares rose nine straight trading days for a 25% gain.
