The S&P 500 was down 0.6% to 3,238.7 on Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was off 0.8% to 28,648.7, while the Nasdaq was down 0.6% to 9.040.3.
The price of crude oil was up 2.6% to $62.77 a barrel.
Gold rose 1.5% to $1,551.70.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 4.4% to 1.8%.
HEALTHCARE
Healthpeak Properties Inc. (NYSE: PEAK), an Irvine-based healthcare real estate investment trust, rose 2% to $34.21 for a market value of $17 billion. Healthcare REITs were generally up on Friday.
Irvine-based Axonics Modulations Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: AXNX) shares were trading down 3% to $26.58 for a market value of $903 million. The company makes devices geared toward treatment of urologic conditions. Stocks of some of the largest publicly-traded medical device makers were generally down on Friday.
