Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 ticked 0.1% higher to 3,134.84 in midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.1% to 27,845.33.

The Nasdaq was up about 0.2% to 8,629.96.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond dove 1.4% to 1.81%.

The price of a barrel of oil fell 0.9% to $58.71.

The price of gold rose 0.5% to $1,475.

TECHNOLOGY

Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) in Irvine fell 11% to $96.23 and a $6.3 billion market cap. The data analytics software maker’s shares had risen 24% in November after its quarterly report. One analyst told the Business Journal several high-profile companies are getting hit today and Alteryx management, presenting at a Raymond James conference today, said the decline wasn’t based on any news from the company.

HEALTHCARE

Tustin-based contract drug maker Avid Bioservices Inc. (Nasdaq: CDMO) rose another 6% to $7.23 and a $407 million market cap. Shares are up 23% over the last two sessions since it reported second quarter revenue that topped analysts’ consensus estimate.
